“A Bharatanatyam recital is structured like a temple: the outer hall of alarippu, the half-way hall of jatiswaram, the great hall of sabdam, and the varnam which gives the dancer the opportunity to fulfill themselves...”
— T. Balasaraswati

For as long as she can remember, Devna has found joy in classical Indian dance. What started as small, curious steps from the age of just 5 years old, over years of practice and discipline, her talent and passion has blossomed into such a big journey for this beautiful dance form at now 14 years old.

Her Arangetram is the display of that journey — her first major solo performance and dance graduation, and an evening of storytelling, rhythm, and expression she can't wait to share with the people she loves.

Devna trains under Guru Radhika Unnithan at Nrityam Dance Academy.

Rajesh

It was wonderful to learn about Devna's deep passion for Bharatanatyam and the meaningful guidance she has received from her guru, Radhika Unnithan. Nurturing a classical art form from childhood builds incredible discipline, grace, and cultural connection. With a strong foundation and a dedicated mentor, Devna is well-equipped to carry this beautiful art form forward into the next chapters of her life. Whether she pursues it as a professional career, a lifelong hobby, or a creative outlet, dance will undoubtedly continue to enrich her journey.

Dhanya

Hi Devna, you carry this beautiful art form with so much grace, dignity, and passion. I am honored to be your biggest fan and your mom. I love you, my dear girl, and I will always be right here with you.

Manav

Devna has been interested in dance for almost her whole life whether its from bollywood to classical or any genre.
